The End of Hill of the Red Fox

Duncan Mor climbed out of his bedroom window when he said he was going to change his clothes. The policeman went out and tried to find him but couldn't. A few days later Alasdair went to a lodge to see a man called Major Cassel to ask him some questions. Alasdair started out to return home, but since Duncan Mor was away Major Cassel said "say with us at the lodge" and had Dr Reuter take Alasdair to his room and lock him in. There were bars on the windows. Two days' later, Alasdair managed to escape and he heard Major Cassel telling someone that Alasdair had to to be "silenced". When he heard that he tried to leave, was pursued, but not captured. In the end Murdo Beaton was blown up on a bridge. Alasdair had gone back to the lodge to get information. Major Cassel was still there and put up a gun to Alasdair's chest. Suddenly, Duncan Mor came in and was shot. Major Cassel died in the end.
